So for the past weeks – FINE, MONTHS – I’ve basically been a tambay/kaladkarin/palamunin at home. Nope, I haven’t given up on life, I’m just on this extended waiting-slash-vacation time while I wait for my master’s program to start this September. In other words, I just have too much time on my hands right now, and I figured that I will probably never experience this much free time in my life ever again. So I thought that since I’m already contributing to the unemployment statistics of the Philippines, I might as well do some sort of community service to compensate. Which led me to stumble upon U! Happy Events – a non-government organization that organizes fun events for marginalized kids (orphans, terminally ill, etc).
