351 USA Auto Parts Celebrates with Philippine Society for Orphan Disorders

Written by Kuya Harvard

After Kuya Harvard’s talk 2 years ago, we finally got to partner for an actual event. As we get better in providing appropriate matches and servicing, our goal is to increase Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) events with companies every year. We already have more than what we had last year.

It was an early morning celebration at Jollibee Sheridan located near their office. Twenty kids from Philippine Society for Orphan Disorders (PSOD) together with their guardians joined 40 volunteers for bonding through games, food and entertainment. The venue was full of happy souls!

Kuya Harvard jump started the activities with getting to know questions. Each person shared their names, favorite color and favorite cartoon character. It was important that everyone knows each other at some level to get them comfortable. Two games followed after: Reverse Charades in the theme of animation movies and Show Me Your Face. All 9 teams were unbelievably competitive. That made things happier!

As we had our Jollibee meals next, the ever popular Jollibee mascot came in for dance and a message done in charades as well. The message was geared towards being happy and well. The kids somehow needed to hear that. They were fighting for illness. We were fighting with them.

The morning’s last stop was gift giving. USA Auto Parts showered the children with toiletries, goodies and Jollibee giveaways. Simply put, the kids and their families had the time of their lives. If you are reading this, we hope to see U! too in one of our celebrations. 🙂
