819 UP Economics Society’s Straw Fair

Written by Board Member, Ate Charmain Tan
We participated once again at the Straw Fair organized by UP School of Economics Student Council. It was held at the UPSE Walkway at the Diliman Campus.
It is our second time this year, the first one was held in April of this year. The fair gives chance to the students to learn about the different NGO’s and encourage them to find their advocacy. There were other NGOs that participated in the event like Haribon Foundation and Habitat for Humanity. It was a great opportunity to be able to talk about what we do at U! Happy Events and encourage the youth to give back through volunteerism. We offered free face painting to the students and they got excited as they came up with designs as our talented artist Kuya Eric can paint almost anything. Some of them had their dogs painted on their hands. Kuya Eric did a good job painting the cute dogs and other superhero symbols. Though this event the students will be able to be a part of what they stand for.
