U! Let the Dogs Out lived up to its name. We did let the dogs out, and partnered them on a fun-filled afternoon with 50 kids from Concern, Marikina and with 49 volunteers. “We continue to look for ways to provide our pool of volunteers innovative events to encourage them to continue to reach out”, says Ate Te Candano, event head.
The event was packed with many small activities starting from face paint, to a show by dog tv star Bantatay, dog walking to dog station in Marikina Riverbanks, to games and lectures on how to take care and understand man’s best friend.
We focused on educating kids about dogs and providing an event to showcase that in a better way. We also raised funds for the kids to have school materials as school starts in June.
Thank you to Brieo and Philippine Siberian Husky Club for the interesting partnership. We also thank Marikina Riverbanks for giving us great reception for the venue. There were also many sponsors from dog and kids items throughout the event. 🙂
