U! Happy Events is an NGO that provides sustainable support and teaches values to marginalized children. Our co-organizer, Republican College (a community college in Cubao, Quezon City) has been serving the Filipino youth for more than 60 years with its mandate to provide equal opportunity for education.
Over 4 million Filipino youth are out of school. It’s a heart breaking reality and we all ought to take a stand against it. Our GOAL in 2016 is to raise scholarship funds for street youth. Take them out of the streets, away from drugs and syndicates, and offer them a community where they can learn to dream for themselves and their families.
On 28th of May 2016, Saturday at 4-6PM at Greenfield District Central Park, Mandaluyong, U! Happy Events and Republic College together with media partner WhenInManila.com and activity partner, Calle Baclaran will have Street Games, 6 Cycle Mind,Martys and Banda ni Kleggy Bands and Mural Art to raise and multiply resources to put street children through school. These funds will be channeled to He Cares Foundation, a street children caring centre.
Other performer include are Women’s Business Hip Hop (Bebe Riz + Jug Honeyluv) and Crossline Acoustic.
To volunteer, please pledge Php 250. Php 100 of your contribution will go to He Cares. The others to cover your ID and other costs. You are also free to pledge additional funds for scholarship.
