320 Science Centrum with Metro World Child

“[People] love to wonder and that is the seed of science” – Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Last May 24, children from Metro World Child experienced the curious fascination and joy that science offers at the Philippine Science Centrum in Marikina. Metro World Child, an international organization helping neglected children in Metro Manila, is no stranger to U! Happy Events as they have welcomed our team in already a number of activities.

After getting to know the volunteers, 23 eagerly inquisitive boys and girls fed their minds with the interactive experiments and visually engaging display at the museum. They got to try different features of the science centrum that focused on Earth Science, bodyworks, lights and shadows, electricity and magnetism, and even outer space. After a brief tour of the more notable highlights of the facility, the kids and volunteers were given an hour to tour the entire museum by themselves. The kids were of course more than willing to oblige as they started running around trying different experiments and checking out other parts of the venue.

With their intellects brimming, the group then made their way to a popular bbq chain where the kids and volunteers got some much needed nourishment. Soon after that, the kids embraced the volunteers as they received their gifts before heading home.

U! Happy Events would like to thank a friend of the group for her donation, as well as Ate CJ Abello for contributing to the wonderful gifts. The team would also like to thank the Philippine Science Centrum for graciously accommodating the kids and volunteers. They are located at the E-Com Building, Riverbanks Center, Marikina City.
