A few weeks back, Greenhills-based learning center Number Works N’ Words granted U! Happy Events an amazing treat: they were willing to provide their Math and English tutorial services for free to kids in need! Thus, 16 blessed kids from Little Lights Ministry in Pasig were able to get the opportunity to work on their Math and English skills twice a week for 6 consecutive weeks.
That afternoon, the kids were focused on getting their Math skills improved. Divided into two batches, the kids of Batch 1 went to their own workstation with a desktop computer, and solved the math questions asked of them. The skills they were learning were multiplication, division, and fractions, depending on their skill level. Kids from Batch 2 were then reviewed on their multiplication tables as they waited for their turn on the workstation with computers.
This being their 7th meeting with Number Works, we could see just how much they had already improved on their skills, evidenced by the speed which they were now able to answer. It was so nice to hear the kids reciting their multiplication tables with ease, thanks to the tutoring session. We’re looking forward to seeing them be English and Math wizards in the long run! Thank you once again to Number Works N’ Words for giving such a rare opportunity to the sweet kids of Little Lights.
