660 Nu Skin’s Art in Island with CHILD Foundation

Written by Board Member, Ate Ren dela Cruz
December 9, 2015 was a day filled with much love and joy as over a hundred of Nu Skin Philippines distributors and staff joined the Child Health in Life and Development (CHILD) Foundation of the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) for Paskong Maningning, Hatid ng Nu Skin, the annual Christmas Party of the company’s Force for Good Foundation.
Nu Skin Philippines is a subsidiary of multinational anti-aging and direct-selling brand Nu Skin, which is present in over 50 markets. Nu Skin has been partners with CHILD in giving sponsored surgeries to PGH kids with congenital heart disease. This is done through their various fund raising programs, including the annual Christmas Party.
Starting off with a program at well-known seafood restaurant Gloria Maris, the children and their parents were already brimming with delight as facepainting, balloons, and photo booth services were readily available at the venue. Nu Skin PH Director for Sales & Operations, Arlene Asidao , commenced the program proper by warmly welcoming all those present at the event and thanking our donors for their continued support. A message from CHILD Foundation was then given by Dr. Pia Malanyaon, who gave updates on CHILD’s partnership with Nu Skin and the support that Nu Skin has contributed over the years. To rally the Nu Skin distributors and encourage participation on future commitments for Force for Good Foundation, Southeast Asia Children’s Heart Fund Board Members Pax & Ate Gina Paculaba and Kuya Daniel Laogan Jr. also graced the stage and delivered their own personal testimonies on helping those in need. Adding to the speakers for the day were surgery recipients Kuya Riel Andrew Loyola, Kuya Jhon Mark Almojuela, and Ate Shane Erica Cutchon, who also took to the stage to thank everyone involved in helping them achieve a second chance at life through the generous sponsorship of their corrective surgeries.
An acrobatic performance by the U! Happy acrobat team and a hearty lunch were also part of the program, completed by another event highlight which was the annual giving of gifts to the children and grocery packs to the parents led by our FFG donors. Marketing Manager, Ate Rose Castillon-Famorca, closed the program by thanking everyone who came and sharing the future Force for Good events for 2016.
The excitement did not stop there however, as everyone then trooped off to nearby venue Art in Island , the Philippines’ first ever Interactive 3D Art Museum, to continue bonding with the children and their parents, and enjoying the various interactive paintings that the 2-storey museum had to offer. Kids and their ates and kuyas discovered the many 3D wall and floor murals as well as trick-eye exhibits, which was further enjoyable as a photoman was present throughout the event!
It was truly a bright and fun-filled day, and a memory that everyone present would surely remember, as they gave and received happiness and love throughout the Force for Good event with Nu SKin and U! Happy.
