Kuya William and Friends Celebrate with Elsie Gaches

In the Philippines, the normal working class labours an average of 8 hours a day. That excludes work overtimes, commute hours, other extra-curricular activities, and chores such as grocery shopping or doing the laundry. That’s why we are grateful for Kuya William and the whole barkada when they decided to spend some time with the Ates and Kuyas of Elsie Gaches in Alabang, Muntinlupa City. The chosen beneficiary is a home to many abandoned adults and children suffering from mild to severe mental disorders. There were a total of 25 Kuyas and Ates from the Elsie Gaches and nine sponsor volunteers present in the whole duration of the event.
Despite the fact that some of the sponsors came from the other side of the Metro, they still turned up with huge smiles and ardent hearts although possibly have battled the long winding roads of EDSA and the early weekend morning heat. The Ates and Kuyas of Elsie Gaches instantly recognized the energy presented by the sponsors so in return, they welcomed them with a bigger smile and a happier being. The energies of the Sponsors present in the event were comparable to that of the children’s. After all, a young energy best compliments its same category.
The event started with all the sponsors introducing themselves with a twist—right after they say their name, they tell everyone their favorite Christmas Carol and then they had to sing it along with everybody! The residents of Elsie Gaches present in the event has especially enjoyed this portion since they get to sing along with some of the songs they also sing during Christmas carolings. After the fun introductions, everyone got to play Over-Under and Shape Me Up. After the tiring but fun-filled games, everyone got rewarded with a good food.
December has always been a time of giving and receiving and here at the U! Happy Events, we are always glad to be the bridge between the sponsors who outpour their overflowing blessings to our benefactors. We celebrate your goodness and kindness along with the upcoming festivities in December, as you taught us how kindness is always contagious. Happy Holidays Kuya William and Friends!
