773 Johnson and Johnson’s KidZania with Project Pearls

Written by Kuya Harvard
It was another productive field trip to the our partner beneficiary, Project Pearls as we visited KidZania for the fifth time. Thanks to third time sponsor, Johnson & Johnson. KidZania is an indoor play city where kids can have fun exploring the adult world. They get to have a hands on preview of different types of work like being a fireman, pilot, tax collector or even a race car driver. The adults on the other hand watch from a distance- they encourage, they assist in choosing and answer questions after the experience.
KidZania highlights the importance of the future. Children get to explore possible work and somehow pinpoint an interest on it as early as now. This was fitting as the 25 children who joined us are current scholars of Project Pearls. I believe we altered perceptions and dreams on our visit to KidZania.
After an almost three hour tour, we bid our goodbyes outside. Their partner foreign volunteers from Johnson & Johnson gave their own gifts to the children. Most of it are from their own respective countries. I witnessed real tears as the children walked away. It was touching to see how a few hours can create so much from the participants.
If you are reading this and is also looking into blessing children, please do let us know. You can fill up a form here- . Thank U! 🙂
