Right after our visit to Tenement Elementary School in Taguig, we went for a long drive to Gawad Kalinga Selecta Village for the second part of the story telling series. Some of the employees of our sponsor, Groiler went ahead to the site and started the games and story telling. When we arrived, the kids were still very active- so we played another game and then we ate together.
There were 50 kids who joined us. Most of them are part of Gawad Kalinga’s day care center program as well. Gawad Kalinga received also books from Groiler. The books they got were catered to the younger market of 4-8 years old.
We are excited for the Gawad Kalinga Rizal Chapter family for the thousands of books they received. We see this as a very progressive move towards education of kids.
