Globe of Hope Celebrate and Gives Back to Quirino Memorial Medical Center

“Giving is the master key to success, in all applications of human life.” Bryant McGill was said to have quoted such amazing words on giving, and in the case of our event sponsor, Globe, we know this to be true! Success truly comes when borne out of generosity. Last August our friends over at Globe reached out to us to partner for one of their Corporate Social Responsibility projects, and on August 10, we all trooped to Quirino Memorial Medical Center to give light and love to 40 brave children currently confined in their Pediatric Department.
It was a packed event as 60 of our Globe ates and kuyas made sure to bring smiles to the children’s faces! The venue itself was dressed up with balloon decor, and our volunteers requested a photo booth for memories to be captured! Our host and founder, Kuya Harvard, also made sure to get everyone bonded by having each one introduce themselves, and the kids along with their parents were glad to talk to their new friends who took time to visit.
To bring laughter and cheer, we played some games that also got the kids and volunteers interacting with one another. One of which was the banderitas challenge that gave much creative juices to everyone involved! To the delight of the kids and kids at heart, a magic show also was part of the program — with everyone amazed at the magic tricks that were both fun and mind-boggling. One main thing the visit to QMMC also included was a Mural Painting — to lift up the children’s disposition with color and art amidst being in the hospital. This was truly in line with our Globe volunteers desire to bring smiles to our children’s faces.
Mealtime came after all the event festivities to energize everyone, and it was additional interaction time between our kids and our volunteers who made sure they got to know even the family members and the patient’s cases. Before we capped off the day, our ates and kuyas made sure to give toiletry packs to our kids, and we took a group photo to remember such a meaningful time. Warm hugs and smiles were all over QMMC, and it was such a delight to see that those who set out to bless others were also blessed as well. Thank you Globe for partnering with us and giving joy to the QMMC kids!
