Ate Te Candano, our current president celebrated her birthday with 10 kids from Tuklasan orphanage in San Juan. It was our first time to do a bowling workshop since pushing more learning in our events this year. Tulong at Turo (Support and Teach) is what we want to achieve in every encounter with kids. A bowling expert from Paeng took the time to share pointers before we got started. Some of our volunteers were either first timers or in need of real help.
Bowling as predicted was a big hit to the kids. We got to play two rounds of bowling while splitting the teams into 4. Each team was comprised of kids, volunteers and core team members. That format made it more competitive and interesting.
The package Ate Te got also included darts and billiards. Some of us got to explore these as well. Thank U! Ate Te for giving these kids an opportunity to do different sports for the first time. You yourself can customize an event. Just go fill up our Create Your Own Event form online. 🙂
