1137 Baby Gail Celebrates with Kids from Operation Blessing

Baby Gail’s Birthday with Operation Blessing
“You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.” – Deuteronomy 6:7
For most parents, there’s nothing more important than being able to establish strong moral, ethical and spiritual values for their kids. This could not have been more true with Daddy Gil and Mommy Lee Anne. With the birthday of their beautiful baby Gail, they chose to celebrate with 25 kids from Operation Blessing in Pasig City. The couple was also enthusiastically joined by several family members inside the basketball court of Countryside Subd.
A number of activities awaited the eager kids as they got acquainted with their ates and kuyas for the day. After distributing them into five (5) teams, we played a couple of games to get the whole birthday-celebration-feel going.
The 1st game was called Pass the Ball. This simple game involved passing 2 plastic balls among the members of each group while a song played. When the song is stopped, the members holding the balls had to stand up and perform a gesture. These gestures included a cross, a Bible, a smile and a heart. This contest was about paying close attention to everything happening – the music, the gesture needed and the balls being passed around.
The next game played was a favorite among of most the beneficiaries we’ve partnered with. This race game was called Pass the Charades. With the teams forming a line each, a word was given to the 1st person. This was acted out to the next person until he/ she is able to guess what it is. The 2nd person then passes it to the 3rd in the same manner, and so on.
After the lively games, the teams were treated to a beautiful Bubble Show and Magic performance. The volunteers and kids then shared a generous afternoon meal with some freshly cooked French fries to boot.
Thank you to Daddy Gil and Mommy Lee Anne for putting this event together for the kids from Operation Blessing. Baby Gail may have been too young to comprehend what we achieved last Saturday but with her parents’ intentional guidance and care, this positive influence will come to fruition in the years to come.
