Exactly 24 months ago, the world greeted you into this world with full of joy and delight. Today, we feel all the more happy to see your sweet face. Happy 2nd Birthday, Charlie bear! 🙂
It was a sunny day on the 11th of May 2018 when Ate Nica chose to celebrate Charlie’s 2nd birthday with all the kids from Kid’s International Ministry, also known as New Faith Family Home in Cainta, Rizal. This ministry exists to prepare children to honor God in their everyday lives. Founded in 2006, Kids International Ministries was created to raise impoverished children in Christian environments across the globe. We desire to raise these children in one of our children’s homes or by connecting them to a Christian family for adoption, either in their culture or abroad.
As we arrived, we started decorating the place with sea creatures, since everyone in the family loves the beach, they decided to have an Under the Sea Theme for Charlie.
Then we started to gather all the kids and had our icebreaker, one of U! Happy’s famous game — “Group Yourselves” where we asked them to group themselves into FOUR.
Then we invited the Kuyas and Ates to introduce themselves, paired up with the kids and got to know their favourite pet and what they wish to be when they grow up. Some wants to be a Teacher, some a Doctor, a Soccer Player and a Policemen. Then we asked them to create a group name by choosing one from the sea creatures we have decorated around. The given teams were Team Dolphin, Team Daddy Shark, Team Octopus and Team Whale.
Our second game was Cheese Ring Relay were we get to transfer cheese ring using straw only from one end to another. Team Dolphin won on the first round followed by Team Octopus on the second round.
The next activity we had was the Balloon Twisting by Ate Divine. She also taught the kids how to make a sword and other animals that we see in the zoo.
Our last performer was one of Ate Nica and Baby Charlie’s favourite part of the day, the BUBBLE Show by Kuya Allan.
While Kuya Allan performs, the kids were very awe by how huge the bubbles were. Everyone was so excited as we all get to experience to get inside the humongous Bubble!
We ended our day by singing a Happy Birthday song to Charlie and by sharing Ambers merienda meal together with everyone.
Thank U Ate Nica and Baby Charlie, to Grandma Ruth (Marmee) and Grandad Nelson (Brad), Uncle Mikki and TiNang Karen, Uncle Derek (Uncle Gainz) and Tita Andy, Uncle Darren (Uncle Bear) and Ninang Dang! The kids had an amazing time with U! 🙂 Again, Happiest Birthday, Baby Charlie! 🙂
