Ate Vivianna as a volunteer during her vacation in the Philippines
We always seek adventures and travel. Food, Culture and People, these are the keys to a well explored
world. Whether it is for work or vacation, we love and enjoy every moment, every new friend and every
story.
Vivianna Szakacsy together with her boyfriend Zach Edstrom had their 1-week vacation here in the
Philippines. Ate Vivianna is a half Pinay, her mother is from Daet, Camarines Norte. She works in Public
Affairs in California. Her boyfriend Zach Edstrom is from Texas, currently living in California and he works
in Sales.
Ate Vivianna loves to take an extra mile in knowing the people of her mother’s home country. She
decided to take a 1-week vacation here in Manila. She mentioned that she wants to end the vacation
with a bang, something special, something that she will cherish and remember. She decided to reach out
to the Pilipino community with the help of U Happy Events.
The kids of 2KK Escopa, Quezon City welcomed Ate Vivian and Kuya Zach with smiles and excitement.
The event started with the introduction to get to know each one of us. Four groups were formed with
each respective group names. Sharing personal preferences and interacting with the group made them
more connected. After they get to know each other, the team battle it out on a dodgeball game. The
games turn out to be competitive and fun.
Basketball clinic was held after the dodgeball game. It started with warm up activities that introduces
the basics of basketball. Defensive stance, footwork and actual 1 on 1 basketball were taught by the
coach. After the basketball clinic, the kids rested for a bit and had their lunch together with the
volunteers. Ate Vivianna and Kuya Zach gave school supplies and snacks to each of the kids. The kids
gave a warm hug to thank them. Ate Vivianna’s eyes were filled with tears during the end of the event. The short activity touched her heart. These will surely be a great part of her experience on her vacation in the Philippines.
