Bad weather won’t stop Zyra and Trisha from celebrating their birthday on a rainy afternoon in Payatas. A simple carnival festivity has been set up for the celebrants who were excited to gather with their family, friends, and special guests: the ever high-spirited children of 2kk Payatas.
In a spacious basketball court in the heart of Payatas, different carnival booths were pitched for the on-going affair. Everyone enjoyed the simple games of ring toss, balloon pop, and shoot the ball. There were also stalls for the bubble stand, a photo booth, and some food stalls that cathered some classic Filipino meriendas. By the end of the event, the volunteers and the children enjoyed a fireworks show that was especially prepared for the sisters Ate Zyra who turned 20 and Ate Trisha who’s 18.
So you ask, what happens when you celebrate your birthday with a bunch of bouncing little children?
You smile.
You laugh.
You learn.
You play.
You run.
A lot.
But more than that, you’d be one of the thousand reasons why some hapless children enjoy their little piece of childhood. More than anything, you get to be the blessing in their life; a small piece of memory that they’d bring until the last days of their lives.
You are a world changer on your own little ways. Thank you for leaving a mark in this lifetime, the heavens are proud for owning you both.
