It was indeed a season of giving for the company ISG, who celebrated their first outreach program with U Happy Events! They’ve chosen Elsie Gaches, a village in Alabang that is under DSWD, which aims to provide care and rehabilitation for children with developmental disorder.
Our team has prepared a lot of different activities for the kids! We began the program by grouping them into 5 teams namely; DingDong Bells, Star Team, Petmalu, Snowman, and Santa. The first activity, which was the Giant Puzzle Race, Star Team was the one who finished first and was able to get the highest points. This was followed by a magic show led by Kuya Eric and then a Zumba workshop by Ate Nancy. I’d say that the Zumba dance workshop is everyone’s favorite! All the kids and their Ates and Kuyas from ISG grooved together and showed how talented they are when it comes to dancing.
In addition to our prepared activities was the Bubble show. Some of the kids got the chance to experience being inside of a human-sized bubble. And just in time when most kids were feeling a little bit hungry, we distributed their meals. They’re so excited for the spaghetti, hotdogs, cupcakes and unlimited fries!
To wrap up the event, the Ates and Kuyas from ISG shared simple presents for the kids of Elsie Gaches. They’ve received foods and other items for personal care and by looking at their smiles, I’m sure that they appreciate it very much. However, I do believe that what made them truly happy that day was the gift of time and effort from ISG team. It may have been a company outreach, but the genuine love from each Ate and Kuya is a great representation of the real meaning of Christmas.
