Ate Parisse and Friends Celebrate with QMMC

Ate Parisse Joy Pascual, Ate Camille Cruz, Ate Sarah Guiriba and Kuya Warren Tempra knew that there will be always something to be thankful for. So when 2018 came, they decided to save up for a Thanksgiving Fund. By December 2018, they contacted us to help them facilitate an outreach with the pediatric ward of Quirino Memorial Medical Center, a public hospital in Quezon City.
The complete barkada was formed in Workcentric Solutions Consulting, Inc., a software company based in Pasig, back in 2018. As business analysts, they know how small details in coding could greatly affect the system. Similarly, they realized that small acts of kindness could eventually help us make big strides towards a better society.
We started by introducing ourselves to the 27 kids and their guardians. Then, we had breakout groups to allow us to know the kids more. Mind-challenging games followed the get-to-know stage. We played Reverse Pinoy Henyo and Regalo o Bayong: all questions were Christmas-themed in the spirit of the holiday season.
We also had a special guest, Kuya Dennis aka Mardox. He is a ventriloquist who integrates values in his puppet shows. The audience learned more about Christmas and humanity. Mardox was a crowd favorite!
After the laughter subsided, we gave out art and coloring materials, and stuffed bears as our parting gifts. We also shared a jolly meal of Chicken Joy and rice from Jollibee!
O, what a great way to end a year!
