It was a nice Saturday afternoon when the Tanglaw court was filled with overflowing energy. Even before the event started, the kids of 2kk Escopa were lively singing and dancing to the tune of Boom Boom, Bam and Watch Me.
There was more excitement when the birthday celebrants, together with their friends, arrived at the venue. Ate Nix and Ate Deej who were both celebrating their 28th birthday chose to spend this special moment with the kids.
The event started by grouping the kids and sponsors through a game the Dancing Boat is Sinking; they have to dance before Kuya Glenn asked them to group themselves. Five groups were formed in the last round and they named their teams as: Barbie, Yey, Siopao, Oppa and Baby Shark. To know more about each other, they shared their names, kalook-alike artist and for the kids, their ambitions in life.
The next game is Stock Me Up. Each of them were given 45 cups and the fastest group to stock the cups into pyramids as described by Kuya Glenn will win the round. In this game, mathematical skills were tested and all the teams done their very best. It even gets to the point where all the teams were tied, so in the deciding round, Kuya Glenn asked them to make the highest pyramid of cups that they can form. In the end, team Yey won the game by split seconds.
The last game is Paper Cup Math. The team lined up and they were given straws and cups. Kuya Glenn asked questions with numerical answers represented by the cups and their objective is to transport the cups to the other end of the line just by using their straws. This time, team Barbie won.
After the thrilling games, it is now time for the kids to witness a magic show prepared by Kuya Jacob. The kids wowed in amusement as they were entertained by the different magic tricks. After the magic show, the Ates and Kuyas gave over the foods to the children and they enjoyed the meals together.
It was a meaningful and memorable birthday for Ate Deej and Ate Nix. Instead of receiving gifts on their special day, they are the ones who gave presents to the children. The kids received snacks and school supplies from the celebrants. You can see the smiles on their faces as they receive the blessings. The event ended with hugs and sweet goodbyes. The celebrants went home with their hearts filled with love. Indeed, the more you share, the more you have.
