90 Ate Natalie Celebrates with Precious Heritage Children

Written by Kuya Harvard

It has been customary for Ate Natalie to celebrate her birthdays with kids. She reaches out to different groups ever since and involve her close friends as well. Right now she is about to embark on a bigger involvement with Right Start. It has been in her heart all these years to provide better opportunities to kids and their families.

Her actual birthday is on April 1. Around the world as you know people coin it as “April Fools day”. We are glad that she doesn’t fool around but bless kids instead. Precious Heritage Children got to celebrate with child like volunteers last April 2, 2011 with Jollibee at Jollibee Harbor Place.

Precious Heritage Children exists to provide the orphans, abandoned, neglected and tribal kids in the Philippines with a loving environment and a nurturing place to call home for their protection, guidance and security. These kids will be prepared for life in their community as valuable, contributing members who demonstrate strong Christian values. They also provide programs and services to address the need of the malnourished and unschooled kids.

The event was dressed up in yellow and purple themes, with colorful hats and balloons and smiles all across the room. We partnered the kids so each volunteer can experience reaching out to the fullest. They got to do story telling, strings of games and eating lots together. We got them to fill up the profile exchange forms too.

Before we finished we got to see some Kuyas and their dance moves for the delight of the crowd. Ate Natalie did not join though. Nevertheless, that made things happier. Thank you to everyone who took part in making it an event to remember. If you wish to meet the kids again, just let us know. They would love to see U! 🙂
