Ate Aizza tells a short testimony of her sponsored activity with us. She went there with her family and close friends. The kids of Holy Family Home discovered a new skill from our accessory making workshop last September 1, 2013. 🙂

Gratitude (n) – the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for or readiness to return kindness.

This is exactly how I felt when I celebrated my 30th birthday. Celebrating 3 decades of life made me realize that more than just trying to attain happiness, life is really about being thankful for everything that we have. It’s about being grateful for the little things around us, and appreciating life with all its ups & downs. One way of showing gratitude is to be able to return kindness — not only to the people who have been kind to you, but especially to those who are need. I am very grateful that U! Happy Events gave me the opportunity to celebrate life by giving back to the orphans of Holy Family Home. More than just sharing money and material things with them, U! Happy Events gave us the chance to share our time, skills, and effort with the children who need them the most. More than the tangible donations, U! Happy Events became an instrument for us to share our whole selves to the girls who are in need of love, time, and affection.

Aside from U! Happy Events, I am also very grateful for the girls of Holy Family Home. They might not know it , but they are the ones who gave me the best gift for my 30th birthday — the gift of an enlightened heart and a renewed spirit. They made me realize the abundance and blessings that I have been taking for granted. It is through them that I am reminded that a truly rich life is the one that is whole-heartedly shared with others.

So…a big thank you to U! Happy Events and to the girls of Holy Family Home for making my 30th birthday celebration a really memorable and meaningful one.
