Mommy Tina Benitez has a conviction – that as early as now every mom should allow their kids to learn how to appreciate what they have and learn the value of sharing. So on her daughter Zaheerah’s 7th birthday, she did not hesitate to celebrate it with the kids of Children’s Joy Foundation Inc. (CFJI). CJFI supports neglected, disadvantaged and poor children in the Philippines and aims to help them become better individuals despite what they have gone through.
17 kids became their beneficiaries for the event. Mommy Tina, together with her family and close friends, also participated in the event to make it more fun and extra special.
Kids were shy and hesitant to introduce themselves at first but as they felt the friendliness and genuine acceptance from their new ates and kuyas, they started being more active. The guests and the kids were divided into four groups – Team Expert, Team Bagets and Forgets, Team J and Company and Team Excellent. To get acquainted, the kids first shared what they aspire to be in the future.
During the 1st game, Team Bagets and Forgets won while Team Experts won the 2nd game. After the exhilarating activities, a magic show and ventriloquist was set to bring further joy to the kids. This may not have been their first time to watch a show/ entertainment like this but their reactions were definitely still priceless.
The sponsors were then surprised by a well-rehearsed number from the kids. They all sang and danced to express how thankful they were for the time given to them by the Benitez family. Aside from being a pretty and cool mom, Mommy Tina also became such an inspiring a role model last Saturday in the eyes of her 2 kids. She did not only give them what they want but most of all she gave them what they need and that is to learn not just to receive the blessing but to a blessing to others as well.
