We finished off the 3 week Arts for Kids with a bang! 🙂 We had a get together with the artists, kids from Shepherd of the Hills and U! volunteers. It was nearing Christmas… everyone was in a merrier mood, as we all graced the event wearing the traditional red color.
We started the event with an Art activity. The theme was what is Christmas to U!? We divided the group into 5. “We mixed it up- we wanted to see what the collaboration would be like between kids, youth and seniors as artists”, says Pol Mesina, founder of SIKAT group. The result went really well. We gave prizes to all groups thereafter.
We had merienda and songs from the Kids. We ended it with appreciation of artists- who took time to do their masterpiece and donated 30% to Shepherd of the Hills. Gift giving followed. The kids were all smiles as they received so much from U! volunteers! 🙂
