It was our second of five visits last March 29 at the Gawad Kalinga building in Baranggay Pinagsama, Taguig City. This is possible with the commitment of Esquire Financing Incorporated. Another 5 events will be conducted in their adopted Gawad Kalinga community, Baranggay Laura. We look forward to working closely with GK to provide impact filled outreach throughout this 2014.
All our workshops are focused on arts and crafts. The goal is to build creativity through artistry and discipline as they build it with volunteers. Last March 8 was portraits, now its pompoms. Not just ordinary looking ones- they were made colorful and alive through eyes, mouth, hands, feet and even shoes.
The activity really connected with the kids. It was something that attracts. It was a moment to see their faces when they finally got it together. We had them display and hanged. There were around 70 pompoms all over the room! It was a site that any kid would love to witness. It was artistic!
