On an extremely hot afternoon of October 28, the Right Start children came to see a play after the life of Rizal on stage at the Ateneo de Manila University.
The play entitled Ang Batang Rizal was a modernization of the life of the Philippine National Hero, Jose Mercado Protacio y Rizal, which emphasizes what ifs: What if someone could travel back in the time of Rizal? What if the past met the future? What if the young Rizal knew that he’s meant to live only to die? The storyline revolves around Pepe, who was living a simple life in the year 2017, later on found himself in the past with the young Rizal. The play led by the talented casts of ADMU brought life to today’s national issues that address uncomplicated answers that even children would comprehend.
After the play, the Right Start children were taken for snacks and were given a tour around the campus.
