The organization believes that all children deserve to live with peace, justice and dignity and strives to uphold the United Nations Convention of the Right of the Child in all areas its work. Cottolengo Filipino is a private non-stock, non-profit religious and non-government organzation licensed and accredited by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). It is owned and managed by Little Works of Divine Providence Congregation founded by Saint Luigi Orione, an apostle of charity and father of the poor. Its aim is to serve the most poor, abandoned, neglected, surrendered persons with disabilities.

CRIBS (Create Responsive Infants By Sharing) is for babies. They also have the NEW BEGINNINGS PROGRAM. It is a residential home for young female survivors of sexual abuse aged 7-17 years. It provides a nurturing and therapeutic environment for the healing and recovery of each child. The program utilizes a multidisciplinary team approach in meeting the physical, emotional, educational and spiritual needs of the children. In CRIBS, healing through the arts is an important part of the recovery process.

Over the last 15 years Gentle Hands has been a ministry dedicated to helping the urban people of the Philippines. Over 5,000 babies have been born here since it began. It is now run by Charity and Evan Graff. The Holy Family Home Foundation Inc. is a non-profit organization managed by the Congregation of the Capuchin Tertiary Sisters of the Holy Family, a Congregation with Franciscan Amigonian Spirituality. Mother Teresa’s visits to the Philippines have left an indelible mark on the Filipino people, for truly, she is the Gospel personified. The Missionaries of Charity, the religious congregation she founded, practices the regular religious vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. They established a home in the country named Missionaries of Charity Home of Joy for the Sick Children. This is for the orphans and the sick, and abandoned children in their care. They have another home across the street, which caters to the elderly.

The Sons of Mary set up Pangarap Foundation in 1989, and in partnership with Ina-Anak, Inc. and the Ladies of Charity of Pasay, commenced its work with street children and out of school youths and their families in Pasay City, Manila. Many of our original beneficiaries came from nearby slum dwellers located at a reclamation area that has since been developed into a commercial and retail centre. Others came from nearby provinces, the Visayas and Mindanao, as well as various locations within Metro Manila. They reach out to boys ages 8-17 years.

Rehoboth Children’s Home has a current capacity for a total of 24 children. The Home is now fully operational, serving children from 0 to 8 years old. A full time social worker has been employed who works diligently on the paperwork process to clear for adoption those children who have been abandoned or legally surrendered by their birth parents.

Marikina City has been awarded as one of thecleanest and greenest cities in the Philippines. However, despite the recognition,the City is not exempted from having other “eye sores” in society other than garbage. The quite large number of informal settlers in the city is one problem and as a solution the Marikina City Government has implemented its “Programang Palupa” which aims to provide lots where this marginalized group can build their houses and claim it as their own. In March 28, 2005, 31 families residing in NAWASA Compound, Provident Village, Tañong, and some families dwell in danger zone areas in Marikina City was given this opportunity and was relocated at Camacho Phase II, it’s in the last town of Marikina City and this site issituated in more higher area beside the riverbank of Baranggay Nangka, one of the resettlement site of the City for squatters.
