1. To get to know team members
2. To know their strengths and identify their network base to know potential resource
3. Brainstorming for 2010 projects – to be guided by mission/vision
4. Election of officers
5. To get the board members’ involvements and commitments
6. To seek for short-term and long-term sponsorships
7. To expand volunteer base through board members
8. Promote Fish & Kids. Rally for pledges.

1. On Goals Setting
a. Long-term fund-support goals – to make U! Happy Events a tax-deductible organization
b. Long-term volunteer management goals – to sustain volunteers participation
c. Proposed projects for 2010:
i. Medical Mission
ii. Kids Olympics / Larong Pinoy
iii. Livelihood Projects (e.g. arts & crafts with recycled resources, to be passed on to parents as capital for livelihood projects
iv. Talent Showcase / Kids Got Talent
d. Volunteer-centered activities
i. Team building/get-together + talk with volunteers

2. Election of Officers/ Roster for 2010:
i. Chairman of the Board – Harvard Uy de Baron
ii. President – Jo-e Villagarcia
iii. Treasurer – Harvard Uy de Baron
iv. Secretary – Te Candano
v. Corporate Secretary – Owen Cortes
b. Schedule of Board Meeting – 2x a year; next meeting – July 2010

3. Green light on other projects:
i. Year-long partnership letter – responsibility: Harvard
ii. Quarterly Newsletter – responsibilities: Chair, President, Secretary
iii. Members Database – basic contact information + affiliations (for resource identification purposes)
iv. Orphanage / Community Re-visits – will be done after every project, a month after; Volunteers to be invited – to establish relationship between beneficiary and partner volunteers.
v. Volunteers’ Team Building

4. Immediate action points:
a. Fish & Kids Volunteers Committee – orientation of registration group re pairing mechanics. Should there be more volunteers than # of kids, “excess” volunteers will be paired up with kids and other volunteers, payment may be waived or given the option to pledge instead
