1073 WABAG Philippines Gives Back to Manila Boys Town

With the many Christmas parties and holiday cheer being held amongst companies during the holiday season, those who choose to extend their celebration to the underprivileged give so much smiles to our faces. It speaks so much of the organization’s culture and the hearts of the people comprised in it, who take time out of their schedules to bless those whom they do not know but need blessings the most.
This was the case for our friends at VA Tech Wabag, a water technology company which focuses on water treatment for municipal and industrial users. Aside from caring about the water in the country, the company also displayed how much care they had for children, as they initiated an outreach program with us for the children of Boystown last December 9. We began what was geared to be a meaningful event, with a fun getting-to-know portion where the kids could learn more about their new ates and kuyas. We then teamed them up into smaller groups, as we played games to ensure that everyone could bond better and open up to each other. One such game was pass-the-ball, which got everyone excited and competitive, rearing to win prizes!
Our volunteers also wanted to entertain the kids via a magic show, and for that we called on the help of professional magician, kuya Koby! He surely did not disappoint, drawing much wonder and amazement from the audience with his display of magic! Adding to the fun and excitement was a Balloon Twisting performance, which the kids delightedly loved, saying out loud the various shapes and animals being twisted into form by our balloon twister.
For even more bonding moments and to replenish their energy, our volunteers handed out Jollibee meals to the children and ate and talked with them. For their last surprise, our ates and kuyas at Wabag also handed out school supplies to the kids, their gift and encouragement for them to study well and keep dreaming for a great future. It was truly a day to remember, both for our children at Boystown, and our Wabag volunteers. We look forward to having more partnerships with you! Thank you for your warm hearts and desire to reach out.
