614 Tips N’ Toes’ Trick or Treat with Gentle Hands

Written by Vice President for Internal, Charmain Tan
It was a very fun afternoon as it was an early Halloween celebration with the children of Gentle Hands. Gentle Hands is a orphanage and has been one of our beneficiaries for years now. Thanks to owner of Tips N’ Toes, Ate Jenny Angeles for this treat!
Every year Ayala Hillside Estates holds its annual trick or treat program and it has become more and more popular not only to the homeowners but also to the public. This year there were around 450 people who came to the event. One of the organizers, Ate Jenny Angeles, was kind enough to invite us this year. We were able to share it with the children of Gentle Hands. All of the kids excitedly came in costumes. They were so adorable as they came as Peter Pan, park ranger, monkey, fairies, and others.
The afternoon started with the program at the clubhouse. There were food stations where the kids happily went around. The kids loved the popcorn, fries, hotdog, and of course the ice cream station. They were given Halloween tote bags which they can use later on when they go around the houses in the village. There was the Photo Booth where everyone had fun having their photos taken in groups and solos while wearing their costumes. The kids did a parade around the clubhouse in order to showcase their outfits to the judges. They also went up the stage and had their group photos taken.
After the main program the houses at Ayala Hillside Estates formally opened for the trick or treat. The children had so much fun as they went around the beautiful houses with really cool Halloween decorations. Most of the them were transformed into Haunted Mansions. There were a couple of standouts as the house were transformed into Jurassic Park (complete with the wired fence and Jurassic car) and another one had a pirate themed decoration where the kids got to play with the swords and golden chests.
To add to the fun most of the homeowners were also dressed in scary costumes. The homeowners not only prepared the traditional candies as their trick or treat giveaway but they also prepared a lot more. There were fish ball stands, taho stands, and corndog stands. They gave away candy gift bags, chips, toys, golden coins, fans, and others.
After hours of partying at the clubhouse and more than an hour of going around the homes the kids’ Halloween totes were so full and heavy. Even the volunteers had so much fun going around the village. The kids were looking forward to share their treats it with their friends back home. That day was definitely one of the most fun events we’ve had this year. As we ended the night of fun the kids said their goodbye and thank you to their Ates and Kuyas.
