It was a hot sunny day! It reminded us more that it was indeed summer. The name Summer Musical started to come together as we had more singing, dancing and acting on workshop two. Ate Jeanie Sison identified already the positions from last week’s auditions and immediately proceed to the initial structure of the musical. We also took the time to let the kids hear out the 4 songs. The songs are:

1. My Favorite Things from the Sound of Music
2. We Go Together from Grease
3. Tomorrow from Annie
4. Batang Bata by the version of Sugarfree

Having four songs means also four different acts and it will be stitched together through acting by selected kids. “Before singing each songs, we want to let the viewers understand why we picked them for the kids through a short skit,” Ate Jeanie says.

We also got to award some kids who showed exemplary talents and performances from last week’s audition. We used this tool to show the others that excellence is important and essential in getting things done. Thanks again to the volunteers who came and to the rest of our partner’s team for handling the workshop well. 🙂
