412 St. Luke’s Christmas with National Children’s Hospital

Written by Kuya Harvard

We are still very much on target to empower 31 sponsors to reach out to our different partner beneficiaries this Christmas 2014. 31 represents a celebration everyday for December although not necessarily having one each day. This one was our 9th!

Kuya Franklin Ricafort, an employee of St. Lukes Quezon City sent us an email a month ago for a Christmas event with their employees. Around 50 of them came that day wearing their uniformed shirt with colorful hands. It meant reaching out and showing care. They justified that really well last December 12 at National Children’s Hospital’s pediatric ward.

It was a short program with a long term plan to help the children battling different kinds of illness. We had a short story telling session by Kuya Jay Menes of Adarna Publishing and gift giving. In between these two activities we encouraged St. Luke’s employees to interact with the guardians and patients and pray with them for healing.

U! Happy Events found it interesting that a private hospital matched with a public hospital. Yes, it was a perfect fit. It was a partnership of two entities that understand each other.

We have more events coming up, join us for the next ones. 🙂
