166 Skate Date with Precious Heritage Children’s Home

Written by Kuya Harvard

Skate Date can be an annual tradition. Why not? Ate Ivanna started it since she is a former skater. A champion skater. The very first one last July to celebrate her birthday. This time around, she looked into an activity for the kids this Christmas Season.

This Skate Date also jump started the 12 Days of Christmas. 22 Volunteers came together with Ate Ivanna and 2 coaches. 21 kids had the time of their life. All of the kids were scared at first but got comfortable after the first 30 minutes on the rink. Most of the volunteers too were first time ice skaters.

After 90 minutes, the partnered kids and volunteers huddled for a short talk by Kuya Harvard on reconnecting with the kids again. We also distributed stuff toys for the kids. Thanks to Ate Isabel for sponsoring them. 🙂
