We were blessed to have a young sponsor, a twenty two year old, Kuya Mark Velasco celebrate his birthday with kids battling different illness. A number of his friends joined in as well for a day of stories. They were stories of lives and fictional books we gave away.
It was indeed a good morning at National Children’s Hospital as the kids and their guardians greeted us with smiles and open arms. This happened as 25 volunteers search for their partners with the same number they have. After a series of introductions, we invited everyone along the hallway for a story telling by
Kuya Rich Rodriguez. He is from Alitaptap Story Tellers.
We distributed Adarna books after to every Kuya and Ate for a more personal touch to the story. This was followed by meals, profile exchange and then prayers to the kids. Oh, we got to sing a Happy Birthday to Kuya Mark as well.
It was our 4th trip this year. We look forward to having more visits of happiness that brings hope and life to the kids and their guardians. 🙂
