304 Aegis’ Story Telling Workshop with Shepherd of the Hills

Written by Kuya Harvard

After our morning event, Let’s Get Physical, we moved to an orphanage we frequent- Shepherd of the Hills. The center serves both orphan children and community based. It was our second event here this 2014.

Since we have shifted to teaching and not just entertaining, we convinced our sponsor Aegis People Support, a big Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company, to go from a Story Teller to a Story Telling Workshop. This provides the participants learning on expressions, creativity and confidence.

Ate Dyaly from Adarna Publishing facilitated it in her usual convincing fashion. Since she had so much energy and happiness, everyone was participative and excited. After her session, she challenged the groups to pick their story and perform it. The volunteers and kids jived well to create an out of a box show. The stories became more alive and animated! That was the goal, and we achieved it together.

Thanks to Ate Leslie Bernarte for coordinating this event. We were able to challenge their team to do a series of events. Praying it happens. Pray with us! 🙂
