267 Nu Skin’s Ocean Park Tour with CHILD Foundation

Written by Kuya Harvard

After visiting Manila Ocean Park with 44 kids from Center for Community Transformation (CCT) just last December 7, our team came back to have another one for 50 kids and their guardians of CHILD Foundation. It was a different kind of celebration as NU Skin partners with them for the 6th year. That is indeed an impressive commitment to these kids diagnosed with different kinds of conditions. They have sponsored 300 heart operations to date.

CHILD Foundation supports more than 600 patients monthly at the pediatric wards. For the year 2010, CHILD provided an average of over P700,000 per month for patients admitted to the pediatric wards. The commonly admitted cases are children suffering from pneumonia, diarrhea, neonatal sepsis, meningitis, leukemia and other forms of cancer, dengue, and typhoid.

This day also marks our official partnership with CHILD in the years to come. We look forward in matching them with U!, our sponsors in opportunities beneficial to children.

The day started with a festive celebration in Hotel H20’s function room, Pacific. It was a one of a kind venue for it showcased a huge aquarium. It was a wonderful treat to see sharks, sting rays, colorful fishes and the likes while we had balloon decorations, festive food, face painting, LED Poi performance and a photoman service to freeze the moment.

Together with employees and distributors of NU Skin and our volunteers, we then accompanied the excited kids and their guardians to 4 attractions in Manila Ocean Park. It was a big group of smiling individuals as they toured the Ocenarium, Antartica for the penguins, Jellies and Birds of the Prey.

Christmas is more meaningful when we share what we have and take the time to be with children. Thank you NU Skin for partnering with us for your Corporate Social Responsibility Event. We look forward to serving with you again. 🙂
