Mother Teresa’s visits to the Philippines have left an indelible mark on the Filipino people, for truly, she is the Gospel personified. The Missionaries of Charity, the religious congregation she founded, practices the regular religious vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. They established a home in the country named Missionaries of Charity Home of Joy for the Sick Children. This is for the orphans and the sick, and abandoned children in their care. They have another home across the street, which caters to the elderly.
