219 Ate Kimi’s Mind Museum Tour with Precious Heritage Children

Written by Kuya Harvard

Ate Kimi made our second tour to the Mind Museum happen. In celebration of her birthday, she with her family and friends initiated one for 25 kids of Precious Heritage Children Home. We on the other hand invited more volunteers so we can have an intimate 1 is 1 ratio. Tours like these are made special for the kids as they tour with their Kuya or Ate.

Precious Heritage Children exists to provide the orphans, abandoned, neglected and tribal children in the Philippines with a loving environment and a nurturing place to call home for their protection, guidance and security. These children will be prepared for life in their community as valuable, contributing members who demonstrate strong Christian values. They also provide programs and services to address the need of the malnourished and unschooled children. We invited kids in their Manila branch.

We started the day with an assembly at Jollibee for orientation, breakfast and our “Bato Bato Pick” game. The goal was to meet other kids and volunteers. They had to ask 4 engaging questions first to each other before playing. If they win, they get stickers from the other person. The winner was a kid with 22 stickers. Everyone started with only 10!

We allocated 90 minutes for the Mind Museum tour. Most of the pairs took the time to watch shows as well inside. After that we let the kids go all out in the playground outside. Gifts from Ate Kimi were given out after. Thank you to all the volunteers who made 25 kids extra happy that day! 🙂
