Jo-e was our president for 2 years before she relinquished her position to current president, Te Candano. She is now our Vice President for External since she works now full time in Singapore. Here is her short testimony.

Being a volunteer for kids through U! Happy Events has increased my understanding of issues that need to be addressed among the young generation in our marginalized communities. It has given me a venue to bring in resources, my own and of my network, that will help address these needs. I have gained very valuable friendships along the way.

Being its President for two years now, I have gained new knowledge & wisdom that have taken my leadership to a higher level through working with various organizations and fellow servant-leaders. All of these have humbled, stretched and blessed me beyond expectation. I encourage you to take part in this worthwhile endeavor.

Being a student, an employee, a busy business owner, a parent or what not is not a hindrance, it’s all the more compelling for you to take part because what you have and what you can do might exactly be what some kid out there needs NOW.
