1039 Globe Gives Back to Little Lights Ministry

Written by: Kuya Harvard Uy-De Baron, Chairman
So what if it’s not December yet? We Filipinos love this season of giving too much we celebrate it as early as September. Christmas came early for Little Lights Kids last November 15 when Globe showered them with loads of gifts and activities.
Little Lights is a community-based organization that assists little children in the community of Tawi Tawi in Pasig. They are led by a couple, Pastor Joseph Casaje and wife, Jeanette. Their team provides gospel sharing partnered with feeding and educational support. They also support the kids’ families through donations and spiritual formation.
Ate Liezl Lim, our contact came with 29 other volunteers from Globe and they partnered with 30 kids. On this holiday morning because of ASEAN, we had team games, magic show, ventriloquism and a magic workshop on top of the usual getting to know activity, food and gift giving. It was a jam-packed outreach for a just a two-hour stint!
The magic workshop is not a usual thing, but this I believe could boost a child’s confidence. They got to learn how to do three types of tricks and am sure they would be presenting this to family and friends.
Before we ended this early Christmas party, gifts were given away and they were overwhelming for any child. Each one received a set of school supplies, spaghetti pack, baon pack, toiletries and a loot bag of goodies from Globe. How a kid was able to bring it home was beyond me.
Christmas is knocking. Are you planning to reach out with us? We look forward to having you.
