291 UST College of Nursing’s Fitness Morning with Little Lights Ministry Pateros
Written by Kuya Harvard
Students from UST College of Nursing reached out to us for an event with kids two months before this very day. They may have limited resources but they had unlimited heart to serve. Kuya Harvard assisted them in creating a unique and relevant workshop for the kids and volunteers.
It was our first time to do a fitness activity. We will are looking forward to do more as the clamor for exercise and better health is already a norm. Kuya Aaron Caparaz, a young triathlete and marathon runner was our instructor that morning. He taught proper stretching techniques, warm ups through several drills and even the proper running form. To add excitement and energy, he also ran three fitness driven games for the groups.
Everyone got their well deserved rest and meals after a 90 minute high adrenaline activities. We ended our fruitful day with a group photo, happy dance and story book gift giving. 🙂
