We felt like family on our third visit to the Gawad Kalinga community in Pinagsama. The coordinators, teachers and children were warmer and more accommodating to our team.
After portraits and pompoms, we ventured into another fun and interactive workshop- finger puppets. The kids with the help of volunteers designed their own masterpiece. Since there were available cutouts, colors and other materials, no puppet was similar.
Kuya Harvard also took the time to talk about heroism. He had the teams use the puppets to showcase heroes and their role in society. He gave two scenarios- last year’s Yolanda storm and being part of the Gawad Kalinga community. After the role play, Kuya Harvard challenged everyone to be a hero in their own right. Be actively involved and find ways to contribute.
See you on our next art workshop on May 31. Check out details here. Thank U! 🙂
