De La Salle University’s Red Cross Youth organized an Advocacy Fair this week at their Taft university campus. The Red Cross Youth is the youth volunteering program of the Philippine Red Cross. It’s mission is to empower and provide opportunities to the youth to harness their idealism towards humanitarian activities.
They invited NGOs from different sectors to give the students the opportunity to learn about the different organizations and find their advocacies. There were partners from different sectors like Youth, Human Rights, Education, Animal Rights, Health & Wellness, and others. There are so many way in which students can volunteer and this week they were able to learn about the groups that are passionate on what they believe in. Our booth featured face painting by our talented artist Kuya Eric. We were able to meet engaging students and young leaders who were interested to do volunteer work with the marginalized children. We were able to talk about our organization and encourage them to be proactive and join us in helping out these children. We’ve had a lot of volunteers and events with DLSU students and hopefully there will be more to come. What about you, what do you stand for?
