1085 Coca Cola celebrates with Jesus Loves the Little Children

Christmastime is a season widely known as a celebration of love and of uniting families together – and our event last December 16 at Riversprings was proof that families are not only constrained to blood ties, but can refer to any extension of who we are — family in the form of friends, relatives, and officemates. That is why it was such a delight for us to hear from ate Maegan that their team at Coca Cola wanted to celebrate their company Christmas party with underprivileged kids – truly something a family does together!
Our ates and kuyas began the morning getting to know the 102 kids from Jesus Loves the Little Children. To do so and bond them even more, we grouped everyone into smaller teams and had them take turns introducing themselves. It was a heartwarming start to the event as we saw the little ones excitedly sharing to our volunteers! We also prepared some games for the morning’s celebration. We played speed cone, which got everyone energized and alert. Tiny shouts of excitement were heard across the venue, as the little ones ran across competing amongst themselves. We also played “paint a picture” and made the “pictures” Christmas Themed – with each group acting out the directions and attempting to be the best and most unique in their poses.
After all the energy and excitement, it was time to rest while being entertained by our awesome U! Happy magician, kuya Koby. His magic show was something truly special, as the kids pondered on how he was able to do such things that seemed impossible! With all the fun, the kids and volunteers needed to refuel so we had mealtime, which was also more opportunity for each one to get to know the other deeper. The volunteers truly took time to make sure the kids were eating well and being cared for.
Before we ended the event, our Coca Cola ates and kuyas also gave gifts to the kids, much to their delight! As a sign of their thanks, the kids gave back warm hugs to their new friends. It was truly a morning well-spent, and a fun-filled celebration with family, thanks to our friends at Coca Cola. We’re looking forward to more partnerships with you!
