125 Bake Date with SOS Children’s Village

Written by Kuya Harvard

The concept of Bake Date came about when the selected members of the U! core team were baking and learning how to cook in a class offered by one of our avid supporters and partner, The Cookery. One of their owners, Chef Paul Samson invited us to take a look at a possible tie up with his social civic group, Southville Foreign School Rotaract. Chef Paul is also a teacher of that school.

The plan immediately turned into a reality 2 weeks after when Kuya Harvard visited their team to plan and meet the beneficiary SOS Philippines. This group located in Ayala Alabang focuses on reaching out to kids and providing them with a more equipped future. Most of the kids were abandoned, orphans and the team of SOS hires a mother for a group of 8-10 kids located in one house.

Bake Date is another unique concept by the team of U! Happy Events wherein 15 student chefs from Southville Foreign School and a few from our core team leading a group on how to bake, make and decorate cupcakes from scratch. We also had Magic Show, Dance, Kids Presentations and Photo Booth by our partner Funlipix.
