Paw Patrols Vina, Dave and Grace with the Kids International Ministries
Ate Vina Dalisay Ngo called Kids International Ministries for an outreach but failed to have a dialog. Fortunately, she came across U! Happy Events on Facebook and tapped us to help her organize an outreach event with the Kids Ministries.
Ate Vina just turned 40 on January 15 while Baby Dave, her youngest child, just turned 4 on January 20. It was also the birthday of Ate Vina’s late sister, Ate Grace, who would have turned 32. Ate Grace passed away on July 30, 2017 after giving birth to Prince Grace.
Ate Vina sponsored a party and invited 50 kids aged 5-15 from Kids Ministries. We were joined by Kuya Joe, Kuya Linus, Ate Cushla, and 30 of their families and friends. The theme of the event was “Paw Patrol”, Baby Dave’s favorite cartoon.
We grouped the volunteers with the kids and they got acquainted with each other. The kids surprisingly behaved well and eventually got more comfortable as the program progressed.
We played 2 games: “Pass the Ball and Pose”, and, “Mathematical Pass the Cups”. These games were designed by our Core Team to make it appropriate for certain age groups.
After the games, we had a Bubble Show performed by Kuya Allan. We were mesmerized by the creative bubble display. Kuya Allan also incorporated vape to wow the crowd. Bubbles of different shapes and sizes made us excited! Towards the end of the show, everyone was given a chance to be momentarily entrapped within a huge bubble.
After the Bubble Show, we ate homemade spaghetti and chicken strips, and Amber’s palabok and BBQ. We also had cake for dessert! We capped the event by giving away personalized gifts, loot bags, and baon packs!
The Kids Ministries was full of joy and laughter. The atmosphere was vibrant and lively. It was a sight that would have been pleasant to Ate Grace. We remembered her with a prayer, and through the act of selflessness by each of the family members.
Ate Vina, Baby Dave, and the rest of the volunteers became a blessing to the kids: a privilege they are truly thankful for.
