841 Ate Tria’s Balloon Twisting with Virlanie Foundation

Written by Core Team Leader, Kuya Richard Yatar
Another fun-filled day for Virlanie Foundation kids last November 5, 2016 because Citibank Balance Sheet Substantiation and Intercompany employees visited them. There were 25 adorable and energetic kids. The event was considered fun because of their collaboration in games and meeting new friends. However, magic show and balloon twisting activity added even more interest.
There were four teams and everyone battled to win prizes. What was good during playing was that all kids are hyperactive and they were all showing interest to win. Their participation was incomparable considering that fact that there were few difficult mechanics from the game. But then again, there must be a winner. Winning teams received a story book from U! Happy.
To cool them down, the magician showed some awesome tricks to the kids. They were all amazed and curious to all the tricks. It was followed by balloon twisting. Obviously, it was hard and even our ates and kuyas can’t replicate the balloon figure. The balloon twisting became a classic balloon popping for the kids.
To end the event, our ates and kuyas distributed school supplies and some merchandise. Kids’ reactions were priceless which melted the hearts of our ates and kuyas. Our ates and kuyas from Citibank were busy with their work and family but they still managed to find time for this.
It can be hard but they knew that the benefits of this were enormous to them and to the community. For them, the program helped them to reduce stress, to find new friends and to reach out to the community, especially now that we are in the season of giving and sharing.
