804 Ate Tasha Celebrates with Ospital ng Makati

Written by Kuya Harvard
Despite a rainy afternoon and questions from attendees whether we should push through or not, I decided without much hesitation to push through with another visit at Ospital ng Makati. This was Ate Tasha Rodriguez’s second sponsored event and I would love to think she’ll do it every year. In 2015, it was with toddlers and young children of Virlanie Foundation.
Another hurdle ensued when we arrived, there wasn’t a function room or ward available for us. The hospital was simply packed with patients. I saw a space in the elevator area and we humbly asked our guests and the kids to join us there. We’re glad everyone was game to sit on the cold floor.
Thanks to Ate Tasha, the young children who are experiencing different types of illness had a two hour window to play games and interact with new friends. We played Bring Me Art, In or Out and Cone Me if You Can. These are part of our top 15 favorite games in our list. To see the whole 75, please click here.
We also had two of Ate Tasha’s friends to perform for us. Ate Joan and Ate Sab serenaded all of us with their wonderful voices after sharing a testimony of healing and God’s faithfulness in their lives. A pastor from Victory Makati, Pastor King Reyes shared a short word on the value of Faith, Hope and Love.
I really felt the love of each one to the children on this day. After gift giving of story books and group photos, the hugs that we normally have just simply felt more intimate and special.
