389 Ate Monica Celebrates with Project Pearls

Written by Kuya Harvard

Ate Rica Leyritana, one of our newest board members, got to convince her friend, Ate Monica Molina to partner with us. One of our measures of being able to inspire others is to get them involved in our vision for creating better opportunities for our beneficiaries

Ate Monica celebrated her 26th with young and energetic kids of Project Pearls. Our partnership with these kids dates back in 2011. Today we continue to provide them with a nourishment program since 2012. Birthday celebrations like Ate Monica’s just continue to open up more possibilities of support.
This was our 4th event of October 25. U! Happy Events has grown in quantity and quality of core team members to be able to manage multiple events in one day.

This one in particular was in the port area in Manila. Although not a usual site, we’re glad our president, Ate Te Candano and the rest of the team was able to manage this really well.

The afternoon activities were interactive games proven to create smiles, conversations and memories. We had our newest game, Act a Video together with Get In and Pass the Charades. These are just three of our current roster of 57 games. You should check the rest here. We got volunteers to head each group of kids to compete with one another.

Before we got to distribute grocery bags that Ate Monica personally prepared and the story books from Adarna, we sang a Happy Birthday for Ate Monica.
Ate Monica’s Testimonial:

On October 25, 2014 I celebrated my 26th birthday with the kids of Ulingan, Tondo. This was something I have always wanted to do; however, it was always hard to plan and coordinate with different agencies. UHappy events helped me in doing so. They helped me choose my beneficiary, coordinate the logistics and gather volunteers. Aside from those they also made sure that the event would be a success- they had a fun filled program which allowed the kids and volunteers interact with each other. It is definitely one of my most memorable birthdays and i look forward to having a similar one next year!
