325 Ate Mhae Celebrates with National Children’s Hospital

Written by Kuya Harvard

Ate Mhae Lira goes to the same church as Kuya Harvard. She approaches him online one day for a Create Your Own Event. She requested a specifically for National Children’s Hospital. It was our third visit this year.

It was a good turnout of volunteers. 33 went to be partnered with 34 patients who have different kinds of illness. We started with story telling by Ate Dyaly from Adarna Publishing. Everyone was engaged in the story, “Ang Mahiyaing Manok” (The Shy Rooster) as the story teller encouraged everyone to make sounds of the rooster once in awhile. Kuya Harvard pointed that being confident is important so we can ultimately be of help to others.

We got the volunteers and kids partnered after for the filling out of the Profile Exchange and their own intimate story telling. The books also served as gifts. Before calling it a day, we served merienda and prayed for the kids. We believed in healing because He is the ultimate healer!
